About me
I am a Czech integrative psychotherapist who has recently returned to Prague after more than twenty years of living abroad.
I have been practicing as a therapist for nine years and have experience of working as a clinician in schools, in the UK’s National Health Service, and within the not-for-profit sector. I now work exclusively in private practice.
I came to therapy through working in theatre, where I worked internationally with a variety of groups, including children and adults with learning disabilities, women experiencing situations of domestic violence, university students, and young people at risk of exclusion from mainstream education.
Today, my theatre background informs my approach to therapy, and I look for creative ways to support my clients’ self-expression. I believe that in therapy we do not always have to talk; we can draw on creative expressive strategies to connect with our authenticity and heal.
I speak both Czech and English at a native speaker level and have experience of supporting clients of diverse backgrounds and abilities. I have undergone in-depth training in cultural responsiveness and commit to anti-racist work in my practice. I work intersectionally and welcome conversations about identity, culture, systemic oppression, and social justice in the therapy room.
I mostly lean on psychodynamic, psychosocial, and embodied approaches in therapy. Having worked extensively with migrant populations and trauma survivors, I am highly trained in trauma-informed work. I have also trained in cognitive behavioural therapy and can offer tailored goal-oriented interventions to specific issues upon consultation.
